Bob earned his undergraduate degree from the State University of New York and his J.D. from Duke University. He practiced law for a decade before being recruited to Wall Street and what was once Merrill Lynch. As an attorney, he represented broker-dealers, insurance companies and banks in major offerings and transactions. At Merrill, he was a highly successful financial advisor and served on the Chairman’s Advisory Council, a small group of senior representatives who met regularly with executive management to provide advice with respect to the firm’s strategy and direction. At Madison, Bob’s role is as thought leader for the firm’s independent advisors, providing counsel and guidance with respect to the latest industry trends, research and best practices.
As a registered representative beginning in 1992, he has worked in both the institutional and private client markets, has advised hundreds of registered representatives and clients about financial issues, products and portfolios and has conducted scores of seminars and workshops for both financial advisors and for their clients.
